  • Must be in the Accounting Core or completed the Accounting Core

Responsibilities

Responsibilities for new members in order to get full membership:

  • Must attend all Professional Development Meetings
  • One absence allowed per quarter (this still forfeits extra credit)
  • Participate in at least one community service event

What happens at the Beta Alpha Psi professional development meetings?

At our professional development meetings, we invite professionals to discuss a variety of topics (a day in the life at their firm, financial markets, industries they work with, and more). This gives our members the opportunity to learn about the different career paths, ask questions to people currently working in the industry, and to network directly with recruiters and professionals every week.

What types of companies/firms are connected with Beta Alpha Psi?

Our professional meetings are geared towards jobs within the field of accounting.  Ocassionaly, we do work with financial services firms, oil and gas, and mining.

What does the membership process entail?

Our membership process is easy… simply fill out the application form and submit payment to become a member. Full membership is granted after a year of probationary membership during the core. Additionally probationary members are need to fulfill the membership requirements in order to become full members.

What are the requirements in order to become a full member?

In order to be successful within Beta Alpha Psi, attendance to meetings and events is key. We strive for a sense of community within the society. Probationary members must attend the professional development meetings, meet the firms, 5 hours of service, and attend social/networking events.
